Who you are contracting with
Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, pulling a word, or continuing to use Anchored, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app. If you are using Anchored on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for it. If you are using it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your country.
What Anchored is
Anchored is a self-guided reflection practice: a deck of 70 anchor words, each matched to a colour, an affirmation and a suggestion for grounding, plus a guidebook and a private journal. Membership unlocks unlimited pulls, every word's full teaching, the complete guidebook and your full journal archive.
Not therapy or medical care
Anchored is a wellness and coaching tool for reflection and calm. It is not therapy, counselling, medical care, or a substitute for professional help, and it is not for use in a crisis. If you are in distress or danger, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency service.
Your account
Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, and you agree to give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse Anchored. In particular, you must not use it unlawfully, use it for fraud or spam, infringe anyone's intellectual property, interfere with its security (including malware, probing, or scraping), reverse engineer it, resell or redistribute it, or attempt to get around technical limits such as the free daily pull.
Intellectual property
The Anchored app, the 70 anchor words and their teachings, the guidebook text, and all related branding remain our property. Your membership gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Anchored for your own personal reflection within the plan you have chosen. Your own journal reflections remain yours; you grant us only the limited permission needed to store and display them back to you.
Payment, billing and cancellation
Reseller and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Service availability
We work to keep Anchored available and dependable, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available. We may change, add, or remove features over time.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, do not pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable use rules. You can close your account at any time. When access ends, you may request an export of your journal within 30 days, after which your data may be deleted.
Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
Your indemnity
You agree to cover our losses arising from your unlawful use of Anchored, the content you submit, or your breach of these terms.
General
You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, and disputes will be heard by the courts there. If we update these terms, we will change the date at the top of this page.
